Steven Brown (aka "Brownie")

Steven Brown is a Telluride Outside veteran forever in his prime.  After graduating from Colorado College, Steven began working for T.O. as a fly fishing and snowmobiling guide.  Even though Steven went to graduate school, taught college level writing at Colorado College, Spanish K-12, started a saltwater fly fishing lodge in Honduras and another fly fishing guide service in Glenwood Springs, “Brownie” is proud to be one of the very top snowmobile and fishing guides for Telluride Outside.  Steve is pleased to say that after fourteen years of guiding, he has never had a bad trip.

Roger Young

Roger grew up between Telluride and Grand Junction and after college, he moved back to Telluride permanently.  In fact, his family in Telluride goes back five generations, running wagon trains up to the Tomboy to deliver supplies for the mines and running the general store in Ophir.
 

An avid outdoorsman, Roger is constantly enjoying the outdoors rafting, dirt biking, hunting, fly fishing and of course snowmobiling in the Telluride region. Roger enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience along with his relative’s experiences on his snowmobile and 4x4 tours. A master diver, he can often be found diving around the world, exploring the underworld in the off season.
 

Roger's gregarious smile and humble competence make him a cornerstone guide at Telluride Outside.  He is one of the most experienced and skilled snowmobilers and off road drivers in Southwest Colorado.  Loved far and wide for his genuine personality, a tour with Roger is a wonderful, authentic experience.
 

Scott Gilbert

Scott is a central Wisconsin native who has been riding snowmobiles in Upper Michigan and Northern Wisconsin since grade school.  After receiving a degree in environmental science and geography from the University of wisconsin Oshkosh, Scott moved to Telluride to begin guiding snowmobile tours and hasn't looked back since. 

 Roy Perkovich

As a Rico, CO resident since 1989, I've learned that no place is more fun and exciting than my own backyard.  Highway 145 splits the Uncompahgre and San Juan National Forests. The winter months have kept me employed in all things high, pristine and heavenly in the alpine backcountry.  Snowmobiling is the very best way to access the unique beauty of our Rocky Mountains and I've spent the last six years escorting winter visitors into our playground. 

In the summer, I serve our mountain community as a farmer, providing fresh produce, and working as an exterior finish customer.

John Wheaton

Born on the Canadian border of New York State, John Wheaton has been guiding rafting, fishing and snowmobiling in SW Colorado for 22 years. 

John, aka "Wheats," graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, specializing in photography.  He began guiding white water on Arizona's Salt River in 1986.  Upon arriving in Telluride in August, 1990, Wheats discovered an outdoor adventure company called Telluride Outside and is enjoying an interesting life guiding new and interesting people on exciting excursions.

While at Arizona State, Wheats became interested in Zen practices, including meditation, yoga and living in the present.  He approaches the guiding experiences that he so enjoys with these Zen ideals and shares the joy of being present with his clients.  Safety is of utmost importance to John.  Families with children and older clients area a source of special happiness, as well as the more thrill seeking guests.  John "Wheats" likes requests trips, so call Telluride Outside and request him!
